Hangzhou is the capitol city of Zhejiang State. It takes about three hours's drive from Shanghai. Hangzhou has a long history. During the Southern Song Dynasty (1127-1279), Hangzhou was the national capital of China. Nowadays Hangzhou is one of the seven famous cities in China that have served as capital cities throughout Chinese history. One of the most famous products of Hangzhou is silk. Since about 1000 years ago Hangzhou Silk has been exported to Southeast Asia, Orient and other area through sea or by land, which have made up the Silk Road.
