From My Album Buenos Aires, Algentina

Argentina is one of South American countries which are exactly located in a global opposite side of Japan. Recently the economy of Argentina got confused and the default of her national bond was caused. In addition to this, ordinary Japanese would know that Argentina is the country of Eva Maria (Evita) Peron, a former President wife, Maradona of soccer and the birthplace of the Tango. However, it was still known as one of the richest countries in the world at the beginning of the 20th century. Japan owed to Argentina at the time of the Russo-Japanese War in 1904. Argentina kindly yielded two battleships to Japan, that they had already ordered to built at an Italian ship-builder. Prosperity of this Argentina is because of earning foreign currency by the beef and other food export to the Britain. The invention of a frozen meat transport ship contributed this. Even now, in Argentina there is more number of cows than the population. However, after that, Argentina missed the wave of industrialization in the world. Nowadays she has such a dishonorable title that it was the first developed country declined to under developing country. When I visited there, I found some evidence on it. I hope the future Japan would not follow this kind of history.
